Why I Started the Tours
My family has called Atlanta home for more than five generations—though you’d never guess it from my accent. I lived on the West Coast for over a decade and spent another decade globetrotting as a full-time travel writer, covering everything from Europe and Asia to the Americas.
Travel taught me one thing: the best experiences aren’t found in gift shops. I’ve taken hundreds of tours—and I always gravitated toward the quirky, the hidden, and the downright peculiar: hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop eateries, outsider art galleries, and local legends that even longtime Atlien locals don’t know.
